Fausto Bunao, Jr.
Fausto Bunao, Jr. of Kilauea, Kauai, died on Jan. 4, 2003, at Straub Clinic and Hospital on Oahu at the age of 71.
Born in Santa Ignacia Tarlac, Philippines, on Dec. 15, 1931, he retired from the Armed Forces of the Philippines after 26 years of service. On Kauai, he retired as a ground maintenance keeper at the Princeville Corporation.
He is survived by his wife: Leonora Bunao of Kilauea; three sons: Marxing (Digna) Bunao of the Philippines, Greg (Cresencia) Bunao of Kapaa, Leo (Nellie) Bunao of Hanamaulu; one daughter: Annabel (Eldy) Ragasa of Kilauea, one brother, Jose (Feliciana) Bunao, 10 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild.
Friends may visit with the family on Friday, Jan. 17, at the family residence on 2476 Kamalii St. in Kilauea from 6-9 p.m. Rosary at 7 p.m. and again on Saturday, Jan. 18, at St. Sylvester Church in Kilauea from 9 a.m. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. by Father Vince Curtain. Burial to follow at Kilauea Catholic Church Cemetery. Casual attire is suggested.
