Smith, Mizukami win in Budget contest
Allan Smith and Donald Mizukami, both of Lihu’e, were the only Kaua’i winners in the Budget Car and Truck Rental Fall Kama’aina Promotion. Each won interisland roundtrips on Hawaiian Airlines, accommodations at Aston Hotels & Resorts Hawaii properties, and rental cars from Budget Car and Truck Rental Hawaii.
Kaua’i’s Java Kai is going Hollywood
Java Kai Etcetera, Inc., which has Kaua’i stores at Hanalei and Kapa’a offering coffees and similar hot drinks, fresh-baked goods, fresh-fruit smoothies and logo gifts, is going Hollywood on us.
The first California location of the Kaua’i-based business is expected to open within a month, on Sunset Boulevard in West Hollywood. A Rice Street location, in the old Dairy Queen location, is slated to open in February of next year.
A Legend is ready to call on Nawiliwili
The 867-foot-long cruise ship Legend of the Seas is scheduled to call on Nawiliwili Harbor today, Wednesday, Dec. 18, expected to arrive at 8 a.m. and leave at 6 p.m. the same day. Volunteers are always welcome to help greet cruise ships. Please call 245-2340.
