WAILUA – Bob Hiroka, Ed Carveiro and Jack Frankforth each won their respective divisions Saturday in the Kaua’i Seniors Golf Club Tournament at Wailua Golf Course.
The three winners pocketed $60 for their top notch scores. Hiroka shot a 69 to win the “A” division; Carveiro shot a 68 to win the “B” division and Frankforth shot a 68 to win the “C” division.
Following Hiroka in the “A” division was Owen Ota, who earned $40 for shooing a 70. Richard Haruki received $30 for finishing behind Ota with a 70, and Marshal Nakamatsu, who also had a 70, took home $25.
Bill Morita (71), Ernest Punzal (71), Pat Ramela (72), and Walter Kiilau (72) rounded out the top eight in the “A” division.
James Amorin and Lopoka Tatum each had 68s to follow Carveiro’s victory in the “B” divison. Amorin pocketed $40 and Tatum took home $30. Leonard Morris earned $25 for shooting a 71. Ed Nakano, who also shot a 71, earned $20.
Tommy Tokioka (72), Yoshio Awakuni (72) and Ralph Fujinaka (73) rounded out the top eight in the “B” division.
Following Frankforth in the “C” divison was Joyce Nagata, who won $40 after shooting a 69. Dennis Ikehara shot a 70 for $30, Hisa Mizumura also had a 70 and earned $25, and Kiyo Inouye’s 71 was good enough for $20.
Shizu Hashimoto (71), Howard Kurihara (72), and Chuck Matsuuaki (73) rounded out the top eight.
