Search still on for Harrington

PO’IPU – A fund has been established to assist in the search for John Collins Harrington. Contributions can be made at First Hawaiian Bank branches, with deposits going to “Friends of John Collins Harrington,” or to “The ARC of Kauai.”

Fifty-five year-old Harrington is still missing while search parties are still looking for him. He was last seen on Nov. 20 at 3:30 p.m. at Po’ipu Beach Park. Harrington is an ARC client who is mentally disabled. He is described at 5’10” tall and 165 pounds with a medium build, a fair complexion and short gray hair. He was last seen wearing faded cut-off jean shorts, a faded green t-shirt, a dark blue baseball cap with Harrington Properties printed on it, and white tennis shoes.

Harrington and his caretaker were eating lunch at Po’ipu Beach Park. After lunch, Harrington went for a walk and never returned. Harrington was also reportedly spotted at the Hyatt’s pool, and at the CJM Stable properties.

More information about contributions is available at ARC of Kauai at 245-4132. Donations can also be mailed to ARC at 3201 Akahi St., Lihu’e, HI 96766.
