Youth Basketball Shoot-out finals

LIHUE – The Shoot Out Finals took place recently at the Kauai High School Gymnasium.

A total of 75 qualifiers showed up. A large crowd of proud parents and families, along with the nervous participants filled the gymnasium. Listed below are the top six winners in their respective age categories.

Boys (Age 10-11 Division) 1st place: Joey Colmenero, Chiefess Kamakahelei; 2nd place: Ralph Alacar, Chiefess Kamakahelei; 3rd place: Tino Ramos, Chiefess Kamakahelei; 4th place: Kyle McDonald, Island School; 5th place: Trey Shimabukuro, Wilcox Elementary; 6th place: Kekoa Prem, Chiefess Kamakahelei

Girls (Age 10-11 Division) 1st place: Georgette Dela Cruz, Eleele School; 2nd place: Brandi Briones, Eleele School; 3rd place: Charlyn Ortiz, Eleele School; 4th place: Kylie Taniguchi, Kalaheo School; 5th place: Winona Kiyabu, Island School; 6th place: Kalia Boiser-Gomes, Kilauea School.

Boys (Age 12-13 Division) 1st place: Travis Kanehe, Chiefess Kamakahelei; 2nd place: Henson Razos, Kapaa Middle School; 3rd place: Lopita Parong, Kilauea School; 4th place: Sam Schur, Chiefess Kamakahelei; 5th place: Gordon Werner, Chiefess Kamakahelei; 6th place: Clareson Torres, Waimea Canyon School.

Girls (Age 12-13 Division) 1st place: Moani Durant, Waimea Canyon School; 2nd place: Giselle Alvarado-Onsaga, Chiefess Kamakahelei; 3rd place: Whitney Cachero, Waimea Canyon School; 4th place: Mershell Rivera, Waimea Canyon School; 5th place: Shandi Kepano, Chiefess Kamakahelei; 6th place: Marissa Agena, Chiefess Kamakahelei.
