Gregorio Galinato of Makaweli, Kauai, died at Kauai Veteran Memorial Hospital, on Nov. 4, 2002, at the age of 97.

He is survived by his wife: Francisca Galinato of Makaweli; two daughters: Rosalind (Francis) Santamonica of Honolulu; Groyfrances Galinato of Makaweli; 2 grandchildren.
Friends may visit with the family on Thursday, Nov. 14, at Borthwick Mortuary Chapel in Koloa from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and again on Friday, Nov. 15, at St. Theresa’s Church in Kekaha from 2 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. where mass will be celebrated at 3 p.m. Burial to follow at Hanapepe Public Cemetery. Casual attire is suggested.

Saburo Morinaka
Saburo Morinaka of Lihu’e, Kauai, died at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on Nov. 5, 2002 at the age of 82.
Born in Hanapepe, Kaua’i on Feb. 26, 1920, he was a herbicide truck driver with Lihu’e Plantation.
He is survived by wife, Yuriye; two sons, Stanley Hideo (Coleen) Morinaka of Lihu’e, and Stanford Tsutomo (Cynthia) Morinaka of Wailua Homesteads; two daughters, Delvina Marie (Jim) Reed of Ocean Park, Wash. and Lily Masue Morinaka of Lihu’e; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 12, at the Lihu’e Hongwanji Mission. Service officiated by Rev. Yukiko Motoyoshi will begin at 10 a.m., followed by burial at the Kaua’i Memorial Gardens. Casual attire is suggested.

Dustin Kaneakua
Dustin Kaina Kaneakua of Kapaa, Kauai, died at Wilcox Memorial Hospital, on Nov. 5, 2002, at the age of 17.
Born in Lihue, Kauai, on June 9, 1985, he was a student at Kapaa High School.
He is survived by his father: David (Darlene) Kaneakua of Kapaa; mother Coral (Larry) Castillo of Kapaa; four brothers: David “D.J.” Kaneakua, Jr., of Kapaa; Dayne Kaneakua of Kapaa; Bryant Ka’eokai Castillo of Kapaa; Don Castillo of Alaska; two sisters: Laree Castillo of Lihue; Jaimee Castillo of Maui; Paternal Grandparents: James & Beverly Kaneakua of Kapaa; Maternal Grandparents: Joseph (Paulette) Grace of Koloa; Maternal Grandparents: Jennifer (Lynn) Beaudet of Kona; Paternal Great-grandparents: Louise E. Kaneakua of Kapaa; Maternal Great-grandparents: Dolores Carvalho of Kona; Maternal Great-grandparents: Lillian Nelson of Kona; Grandparents: Kaina & Bonnie Ludington of Kapaa, numerous aunties, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family on Sunday, Nov. 10, at the Kapaa First Hawiian Church, from 3 p.m. to 4:45 p.m. where services will be conducted at 5 p.m. and again on Monday, Nov. 11, 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. at Kealia Beach for a memorial service and scattering to follow. Casual attire is suggested.
