Girls from Mana to Ha’ena are taking orders for Girl Scout cookies now through the end of November, for delivery of cookies in mid-January.
The purpose of the annual sale is to help girls grow stronger in self-confidence, determination, goal-setting, pride and teamwork.
The cost of a box of cookies is $4, and there are eight varieties to choose from. Troops get money for each box sold, for various troop activities chosen by the girls.
Representatives at the Lihu’e Girl Scout service center office, 245-4984, can put those interested in pre-ordering cookies in touch with Girl Scouts in their area.
Girl Scouts is a participating agency with the Kauai United Way.
