Renewal meeting set for real-estate sellers
The state Real Estate Commission has scheduled this Friday, Nov. 8, a workshop for those interested in renewing state real estate licenses. The session is from 9 a.m. to noon at the Kauai Board of Realtors office in the Kukui Grove Commercial Village, 4359 Kukui Grove St., Suite 103.

Writing proposals is workshop theme
Government Contractor Solutions and The Contractors Association of Kauai present a proposal-writing (and grant-writing) workshop next Friday, Nov. 15, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Kaua’i Island Utility Cooperative conference room, 4463 Pahee St. in Kukui Grove Village West, Lihu’e. Next Tuesday, Nov. 12 is the reservations deadline, and the cost is $295 for the general public, and $250 for members of CAK, Kauai Economic Development Board and Kaua’i Chamber of Commerce.

Company savings plan seminar is set, free
Ruben Rea, the Edward Jones investment representative at the company’s Hanama’ulu office, hosts a free seminar on company plan distribution options, at 6:30 p.m. this Tuesday, Nov. 5, at Island School behind Kauai Community College in Puhi.
The session is designed to help participants focus on retirement goals, evaluate options, review tax consequences and consider the potential benefits of an individual retirement account (IRA). Norwegian Wind calls on Nawiliwili
The 754-foot-long cruise ship Norwegian Wind calls on Nawiliwili Harbor today, Sunday, Nov. 3, scheduled to arrive at 7 a.m. and leave at 6 p.m. the same day. This Thursday, Nov. 7, the harbor hosts two cruise ships, the 720-foot-long Statendam, in at 7 a.m. and out at 2 p.m. the same day, and the Norwegian Wind at Pier 3, scheduled to arrive at 8 a.m. and depart at 4 p.m. the same day.
