HSJGA to present collegiate athletics workshop in Lihue
The Hawaii State Junior Golf Association will be presenting a college workshop in the Lihue Public Library’s conference room on Kaua’i Sunday, Oct. 27, from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
The workshop is directed towards students of all ages who intend to attend college – especially those who are interested in participating in a college sport.

The workshop will cover topics such as recommended timelines for academic preparation, entrance requirements for college, athletic preparation for collegiate athletics, NCAA regulations and recruitment process, financial aid, scholarships, how to get noticed by coaches and life as a student-athlete.
Literature on various career opportunities in the golf industry and the Ping American College Golf Guide will be available for those interested in pursuing a career in golf.
The cost of the workshop is free for HSJGA members and $5 for non-members. Preregistration is not necessary.
