LIHUE – A leaky watermain gave KIF Volleyball a day off yesterday, but it’s back to the courts for the Kaua’i Red Raiders and Waimea Menehunes, who will butt heads tonight at the Raiderdome in Lihue.
A crack in the watermain at Kaua’i High School under repair next to the school’s gymnasium Wednesday at 3 p.m., the time the junior varsity games were to begin.
School officials said they had to postpone the games until they could rectify the problem. Later in the day, they confirmed to TGI that the pipes were fixed and the volleyball games, along with school, will resume Thursday.
Tonight, the Raider and Menehune jayvee squads will clash at 3 p.m. Varsity will begin no earlier than 5:30 p.m.
