The Garden Island’s candidate forum is scheduled for tonight at the Kauai Veterans Center on Kapule Highway in Lihu’e.
The forum is featuring mayoral candidates Councilmen Ron Kouchi and Bryan Baptiste. In addition, all 14 candidates for County Council have been invited.
The Ho’ike public access cable station will be videotaping the forum for airing on Wednesday, Oct. 9 and Monday, Oct. 14.
The forum begins at 6 p.m. and is scheduled to end by 9 p.m. Sheila Arthur will serve as moderator for the forum.
The candidates will be given time to introduce themselves and their platforms, followed by questions that will be fielded by reporters from The Garden Island.
The public is invited to this free event. The Garden Island is providing an interpreter for deaf members of the audience.
