LIHUE – The Kaua’i High School Girls and Boys Bowling Teams each garnered one KIF point for their win at Lihue Lanes Saturday in Lihue.
The Kaua’i boys notched a total of 2,291 pins, 52 better than second place Kapa’a, which had 2,239. Waimea placed third with 2,147 total pins.
The Red Raider girls won with 2,289 total pins, 244 better than Waimea, which had 2,045. The Kapa’a girls took third with 1,834.
High scorers: For the boys, Kapa’a’s Nathan Concepcion notched two high scores in two games – a 180 and 201. Waimea’s Garrison Soto had a 193, and Garren Venzon of Kaua’i had a 180.
For the girls, Waimea’s Virginia Aguilar scored a 192, Jenni Ueno of Waimea had a 186. Meiling Keopuhiwa of Kaua’i had a 181, and her teammate Jolene Koerte had a 180.
