Waimea was led by Ashley Canon, whose 226 score was “best of match.” She shot 83 prone, 79 kneeling and 64 standing. Megan Mukai chipped in 224 points (84, 79, 61) and Rachelle Pascual (220, 81, 79, 60), Jonelle Renti Cruz (219, 81, 80, 58) and Virginia Aguilar (209, 81, 80, 68) rounded out the Menehune scoring.
Christyl Nagao led the Red Raider scoring with 221 points – 82 prone, 69 kneeling, 69 standing. Ka’iulani Sheldon tapped in 183 (85, 71, 47), and Jolene Koerte (181, 73, 66, 42), Terra Bell (178, 67, 54, 57) and Chasidy Yasay (174, 84, 62, 48) rounded out the Raider scoring.
Jeni Gueber pulled in the most points of any girl on opening day with a 242 for Island School. She shot an 88 prone, 89 kneeling and 65 standing to top the lists. Molly McKenna added 213 (91, 65, 57), and Kasey Alcott – 210, 87, 65, 58; Atheena Yee (176, 74, 63, 39); and Keli-Rose Hooser (169, 64, 65, 58) accounted for the Voyagers’ scoring.
The Kapa’a girls were led by Stevi Stone with 193 points – 79 prone, 69 kneeling, 45 standing. Mohala Johnson followed with a 184 (74, 73, 37), and Chasity Ito (181, 62, 70, 49), Gemmalyn Catbagan (164, 61, 63, 40) and Crystal Dawson (152, 68, 60, 24) rounded out the Warrior scoring.
