Tatom shoots low round 66 for Kaua’i Senior Golf Third Quarterly win

WAILUA – Lopaca Tatom shot a 66 Saturday – a tourney low – edging Fred Ancheta (66) and James Amorin (66) to win the “B” Flight division of the Third Quarterly Tournament of the Kaua’i Senior Golf Club series at the Wailua Course.

Jose Yadao shot a 68 to win the “A” Flight. He edged Marshal Nakamatsu (68) and Baco Fernandez (69) for the victory.

In the “C” Flight, Chuck Matsuwaki (70) took top honors with Dennis Ikehara (70) taking second place. Hisa Mizumura and Lil Riley each shot a 72 for third and fourth place.

First place from each Flight received $60, second place received $40; third place received $30 and fourth and fifth received $25 and $20, respectively. Sixth through eighth received 6balls and ninth through 12th received 3 balls each.

“B” Flight: Ismo Yoshishige took fourth (69); Squash Honda fifth (71); Paul Awazu sixth (71); Wilfred Kimura seventh (71); Larry Banquel eighth (75); Charlie Saiki ninth (75); Larry Mendonca 10th (75); Gilbert Tanaka 11th (75); Bob Bradley 12th (76).

“C” Flight Notes: Kiyoto Okimoto took fifth (73); Barbara Hataishi sixth (74); Murray Hudson seventh (74); Yasua Minatoya eighth (76); Yilma Nagano seventh (76); Reino Harsila 10th (76); Linda Akita 11th (76); Yuki Arashiro 12th (77).
