Pitcher Dee Dee Ibia shut out KFD in the ensuing six innings to give Custom Limo a 6-2 win in the first of three HGEA softball games Tuesday at Isenberg Park in Lihue.
Gregg Morishige, who allowed 11 hits, took the loss for KFD.
Custom Limo was led by Derek Rapozo, who had two singles and three RBIs. Sia Salausa had two RBIs on one single, and Willie Nuivo added two singles. Ibia also contributed at the plate with three hits.
Clinton Fujii knocked in an RBI on a double and Shawn Hosaka added to singles for KFD. Five other KFD batters each notched one hit.
Rainbow Sports 13,
Na Kolohe 0
Rainbow Sports went on a 16 hit tirade in its 13-0 blanking of Na Kolohe in the second game at Isenberg.
Lance Nakata allowed just seven hits to record the win; Norman Holt, Jr. took the loss for Na Kolohe.
Wendell Nonaka led Rainbow Sports with four RBIs on three hits. Kelly Robinson added two RBIs with two singles and one double. Michael Simatsu’s four hits earned him one RBI, and Vince Nitta and Lenny Nitta each had two hits; Vince had one RBI.
Dean Pigao had two hits for Na Kolohe, while five of his teammates recorded one single apiece.
Hana Hou 17,
Hard Knocks 5
The Hana Hou jumped out to a five run lead in the first inning and added 12 more in the final three to top the Hard Knocks 17-5 in the final game on Tuesday.
Paris Resinto, in allowing just six hits, recorded the win for the Hana Hou. Dan Fort took the loss.
Randy Riggin led all batters with four hits (one triple and three singles) and four RBIs. Dan Ouderkirk added three singles and three RBIs for the Hana Hou. John Pimental and Paris Resinto each had two singles and one RBI.
Damien McCullum smacked a home run for the Hard Knocks along with two RBIs and one single. Jason Ahuna added two singles and one RBI and Corey Rego had two singles.
