Kawaihau Little League searching for board members, coaches, managers and umpires

Kawaihau Community Little League is in the process of starting its 2002-2003 season. People interested in participating as board members, coaches, managers, and umpires need to become active, regular members. Deadline for sign-up is Thursday, Sept. 5, by 4 p.m. at Rosa’s Supply. A general membership meeting of approved members only will be held on Monday, Sept. 9, at 7 p.m. at the Kapaa Neighborhood Center with election of the Board of Directors on Thursday, Sept. 12, from 4-7 p.m. at the Main Diamond Food Booth.

Kaua’i All Girls Rodeo coming to CJM Stables in Poipu Today

POIPU- Sign up for the Kaua’i All Girls Rodeo, which will take place today, August 18th, at 10:00 a.m.

For those who want to attend the rodeo, admission is free.

Cowgirls from Kaua’i and outer islands will compete in Barrel Racing, Steer Undecorating, Pole Bending, Dally Team Roping, Goat Tying and Breakaway Roping.

Kaua’i Seniors Golf Tourney coming soon

The Third Quarterly Tournament for the 2002 Kaua’i Senior Golf season will take place Saturday, August 31, for Kaua’i Senior Golf Club members.

Entry forms are available at Wailua Golf Course. The August handicaps will be used. Call the golf course for additional information.

Do you want to learn the game of football? Would you like to study the inner workings of the game and build relationships with the island’s strongest team? Then look into becoming a Kaua’i football official.

For all those who are interested in pursuing the knowledge of the game, contact Lenny Rapozo at 639-1965, or his father Leo at 245-4123. Or, show up at the weekly meeting on Wednesday at HGEA Akahi Street in Lihue.

AYSO Region 940 Soccer Coaches Clinic this weekend

AYSO Region 940 Intermediate Soccer Coaches Clinic. (For coaches in Division U12 – U16). Aug. 15 & 16, 6-10 p.m. at the Kalawai Park. Beginners Coaching Clinic. First NSSA event of season in Poipu

POIPU – The National Scholastic Surfing Association (NSSA) will kick off its first contest of the season at P.K’s in Poipu August 24 and 25. Entries must be turned in no later than August 21 for the premiere event.
