Ichiro Yamase, Marguerite Dorsey
Ichiro Yamase of Honolulu, HI, died July 31, 2002, at Straub Clinic and Hospital at the age of 89.
Born in Waimea, Kaua’i, on July 31, 1913, he was a retired electrician for Kaua’i Electric.
He is survived by sons, Steven (Mieko) Yamase and Milton (Darlene) Yamase; daughter, Laurie (Bruce) Sloan; five grandchildren, two great grandchildren; brothers, Rokuro (Nancy) Yamase and Sueo (Nikki) Yamase; sisters, Peggy Takenaka, Betty Oi, Mitzi Edgar, Molly Sono and Kimiyo (Charles) Ebesu.
Service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 10, at Hosoi Garden Mortuary. The family suggests casual attire and that flowers be omitted.
Arrangements are being handled by Hosoi Garden Mortuary.
Marguerite Dorsey of Kapa’a, Kaua’i, died at home on Aug. 5, 2002 at the age of 61.
Born in New York on Apr. 22, 1941, she was a Real Property Clerk with the County of Kauai.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Dorsey; mother, Elsie Gumbs of Brooklyn, NY; two brothers, Robert Gumbs of Orlando, FL and Richard Gumbs of Brooklyn, NY; sister, Joan Gumbs of Brooklyn, NY.
Private services will be held.
