LIHUE – Mokihana Aquatics will host the only USA sanctioned swim meet on Kaua’i this Saturday and Sunday (August 3 and August 4) at the Kaua’i High School Pool in Lihue.
The meet will harbor 80 swimmers and two off-island club teams -Maui Gold from Maui and Barber’s Point from Oahu.
Each day there will be two to three hours of competition. On Saturday, warm-ups begin at 7:00 a.m. and the meet starts at 9:30 a.m. On Sunday, warm-ups begin at 7:00 a.m. and the meet starts 9:00 a.m.
It will be a short course meet, and will feature a slew of divisions, including 6 & Under, 8 & Under, 10 & Under, 11 – 12, 13 – 14, and 18 & Under brackets.
Current USA Swimming and Hawaiian Swimming Rules will govern this event.
The event is free to the public. A concession stand and a Kaua’i products country store with Fun Meet souvenirs will be available during the meet.
