Rainbow Sports, Hana Hou, Custom Limo win in Tuesday HGEA softball

Three more games of the HGEA Mountainball League took place on Tuesday, as Rainbow Sports Kaua’i, the Hana Hou and Custom Limo each went home with wins.

Rainbow Sports 9,

Na Kolohe 4

Vince Nitta’s homerun and Hughes Ebinger’s two RBI’s propelled Rainbow Sports Kaua’i to a 9-4 win over Na Kolohe.

Ace Garrett Agena took the win, allowing 11 hits and walking just one batter; Norman Holt, Jr. took the loss for Na Kolohe.

Big hitters for Rainbow Sports Kaua’i: Nitta had two singles to go along with his homerun and RBI; Ebinger had a single with his two RBI’s; Kelly Robinson, Derek Lincoln, and Davis Oshiro each had one RBI on two singles; Lenny Nitta had a single, a triple and one RBI.

Big hitters for Na Kolohe: Dela DelaCruz had two RBIs on one single; Holt had one single, one double and one RBI; Ryan Waalani had one double.

Hana Hou 17,

Hard Knocks 4

Larry Ephan, John Pimental and Nelson Chiba each homered and combined for 10 RBI’s to lead the Hana Hou’s to a 17-4 drubbing of the Hard Knocks.

Paris Resinti took the win for the Hana Hou; Miles Aquino suffered the loss.

Big hitters for Hana Hou: Ephan had four RBI’s stemming from two singles and one homerun; Pimental had one homerun, three RBI’s and one single; Chiba had one homerun and three RBI’s; Paris Resinto had two singles and two RBIs; Richard Rosa had one double and two RBIs; Jonathan Bonachita had a single, a double and one RBI; Brenn Nakaahiki had a single, a double and one RBI.

Big hitters for the Hard Knocks: Darrin McCallum had two singles and one RBI; Miles Aquino had three singles; Dan Fort had two singles.

Custom Limo 9,


Didi Ibia allowed just nine hits to notch the win in Custom Limo’s 9-7 victory over KFD.

Gregg Morishige took the loss for KFD.

Big hitters for Custom Limo: Steven Carvalho had two singles and two RBIs; Derek Rapozo had one double and two RBIs; Lambert Alapai had one single and two RBIs; Brady Tokuda and Ibia each had two singles.

Big hitters for KFD: David Bukoski had one double and two RBIs; Dodd Apao had two singles and one RBI.
