It’s all Lihue in the final showdown.
The Lihue Comets and Lihue And 1 each won their semifinal playoff games on Friday to move to the championship game of the KYBA Boys 10-under division.
The title game took place on Saturday. Because of an early deadline, TGI will report on the Championship showdown in Monday’s sports edition.
The Lihue Comets, a powerful all girls team, took it to the Supersonics in the first game of the day at Kalaheo Neighborhood Center Gymnasium.
The Comets topped the Sonics 24-9, fueled by Sanoe Keliinoi, who notched six points to lead all scorers.
Britnelyn Palacio led Kaumakani with three points.
The Comets will now face the Lihue And 1, who topped the Eastside Warriors 20-13 in the second game at Kalaheo.
Jordan Tottori led the Lihue And 1 with 11 points. The lead scorer for the Warriors was Kekoa Colipano, who put up six points in the loss.
