Nogi’s, Rainbow Sports and Hana Hou pick up HGEA Mountainball wins

The Nogi’s, Rainbow Sports Kauai and the Hana Hou each picked up wins in the second outing of the HGEA Mountainball Softball League.

Ace Marvin Mikasa went the distance for the Nogi’s, who topped Hard Knocks 16-11. The Nogi’s had 20 hits and 16 RBI’s in the game. Miles Aquino took the loss for the Hard Knocks.

Big hitters for the Nogi’s: Ronni Matsumura had two singles and two RBIs; Kyle Nakagawa had one single, one double and three RBI’s; Robin Shimabukuro notched three RBIs on one triple; Scott Ebesu singled four times and which culminated into two RBIs; Blaine Nakano had two singles and two RBIs; Gordon Tamura had a single, a double and an RBI; Mel Yamase had three singles and one RBI; and Eli Moniz had one RBI and two singles.

For the Hard Knocks: Dan Fort had three singles and three RBIs; Corey Rego had two singles; Miles Aquino had two singles; Jason Ahuna had three singles; Bryson Ponce had two singles; Ginny Pia had two singles.

Lance Nakata allowed just four hits to lead Rainbow Sports Kauai to an 8-1victory over Custom Limo.

Lambert Alapai took the loss for Custom Limo.

Big hitters for Rainbow Sports: Wendell Nonaka had three singles and two RBIs; Lenny Nitta had two RBIs and two singles. Davis Oshiro had three singles and one RBI; Michael Shimatsu had two singles and one RBI; Lance Nakata had three singles and one RBI.

For Custom Limo, Destry Carvalho had one double.

Paris Resinto was the winning pitcher in Hana Hou’s 11-3 drubbing of KFD.

Gregg Morishige took the loss for KFD.

Big Hitters for Hana Hou: Paris Resinto had three RBIs on one single and one triple; Richard Rosa had two sinlges and one RBI; Nelson Chiba had three singles and one RBI; John Pimiental had one RBI on two singles; Don Ouderkirk had two singles; Jon Takamura had two singles.

For KFD: John Blaylock had two RBIs and one single; David Bukoski had one single and one double; Corey Sakai had two singles.
