The Hawaii State Junior Golf Association (HSJGA) will conduct the Callaway Hawaii State Junior Championship, the premier event of the HSJGA which is in its fourth year running, on July 9 and 10 at the Hawaii Prince Golf Course.
Kauaians Allan Baab and Lehua Wise are noted in this year’s bill by HSJGA as being tough contenders in the tournament.
Other outstanding golfers for the boys in the tourney are Travis Toyama, the 2002 Manoa Cup champion, semifinalist Kurt Nino and Gabriel Wilson, David Hahn, Pomaikai Shishido, Moses Kahalekulu, Burt Bonk, and Shaun Felechner of the Junior Ryder Cup Team.
In the girls field, Wise will have to compete with Lindsay Hong, Stephanie Kono and Amanda Wilson, to name a few.
Past Championships of the Callaway Hawaii State Junior Championship include golfers Kellan-Floyd, Casey Watabu and Joan Shimozaki.
