In game two, Matt Lindsey’s nine points were enough to send Wailua to a 28-23 win over the Kapa’a Warriors. Elijah Phillips scored 15 points for the Warriors.
In another two-game series on Thursday, June 6, Waimea beat the Kapa’a Ladybugs 42-1 on 12 Moani Durant points. Natasha Furtado scored the Ladybugs’ only point.
Two days before that, the Lihue Alii topped Lihue 44-18. Pono Perez led the Alii with 10 points; K. Lopez scored six points for Lihue.
And in the second game, Curran Doctolero scored 14 points to lead Wailua to a 47-25 win over the Lihue T-Maxx. Sean Inouye scored nine points for the T-Maxx.
