The 17-Under and 10-Under divisions of the KYBA community basketball league played a series of games on Saturday at Kalaheo.
In the first game, Jodi Das scored 12 points to lead the Lihue Comets to a 34-14 win over the Blackhawks. Travis Visitacion scored six points for the Blackhawks.
In game two, the Kaumakani Supersonics beat the Westside Riders 22-14 on 10 Aiko Grande points. Bryson Tacata, Ashten Agor and Alex Palacio scored four points apiece.
The Lihue and 1 topped the Waimea Lakers 27-20 with the help of Jordan Tottori’s team-leading 16 points. Nicole Garabilaz scored six points for the Lakers.
In game four, Brandon Ventar, Kalen Kimura, Kakoa Colipano, Kalio Mayer and Austin Simao each got a hand in the scoring to lead the Eastside Warriors to a 22-17 victory over the Westside Hornets. The five players each scored four points for the Warriors; The Hornets were led by Breeann Cox-Abuan and Kori Sakamoto, who each had four points.
The Globetrotters’ Tab Matsumoto scored 15 points to lead his team to a 48-31 win over the Lihue Shadows. Brandon Ballesteros scored eight points for the Shadows.
And in the final game, Lionel Tomacder’s 15 points were enough to send HB to a 53-51 victory over Waimea. Akeem Allen scored eight points for Waimea.
