Lihu’e Rangers’ catcher Chris Liu stretches for the throwout attempt as the Lihu’e Athletics’ Nick Robinson scores in the top of the seventh inning to tie the contest 3-3 on a fielder’s choice off a Colson Fernandez’s hit. The Rangers came back in the bottom of the ninth to break the stalemate and claim the Lihu’e Baseball League’s Bronco title 4-3 as Dan Kouchi scored on a throwing error to first that resulted from a bunt attempt by Travis Schonowitz. The Rangers will establish an all-star team to tangle with the West Kaua’i Broncos on June 11 starting at 4:30 p.m. The winner of that series will move on to represent the island at the state finals.
