Services are set today at the Honolulu Central Seventh Day Adventist Church, 2313 Nuuanu Ave. in Nuuanu, O’ahu, for Llewella Naukana Zablan, 76, of Ko’olau, Waipake, Kaua’i.
Visitation is 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., with services at 7 p.m.
Born October 10, 1925, in Honolulu, she died at Straub Clinic & Hospital last week, apparently from injuries sustained in a Kaua’i car accident earlier this month.
A retired personnel management specialist with the VA, she is survived by her husband Francis B. Zablan; son Randy S.N. Rego; daughter Renee (Hank) Martin; sisters Karen Gabeler and Benedyne Kim; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Francis B. Zablan remains confined in Wilcox Memorial Hospital, also due to injuries sustained in a two-car collision near Princeville Airport.
He was a passenger in the vehicle driven by his wife. At the request of the family, his condition is not being released by the hospital.
Kaua’i services for Llewella Naukana Zablan are set for this Friday, May 31, at Kapaa First Hawaiian Church on Kuhio Highway. Viewing is from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m., followed by a 10 a.m. service.
The family plans cremation, with a private scattering of ashes at a later date.
