Culbertson, who became acquainted with Kaua’i through a space conversation with Island School students in November, paid a personal visit to Kaua’i students with his appearance at the Kapa’a Middle School library being beamed live via the DOE’s teleconferencing system.
The astronaut’s appearance, above, was beamed to schools in Koloa, Eleele, O’ahu, Maui, and American Samoa where students from each location had a chance to ask the astronaut some questions following his presentation on his four-month stint in the space
