Parents will have a chance to see samples of illegal drugs and paraphernalia at a Kapa’a Middle School-sponsored awareness workshop this Friday evening.
The school’s Parent-Community Networking Center organized the presentation to show parents and the community what kinds of drugs are out there and the potential problems facing kids today.
“As parents, we’re very excited to see the drug displays…we need to see what these things look like,” said Laurie Planas, Kapaa Middle School PCNC facilitator.
The drug awareness workshop will be presented by Ed Howard, supervising investigator, Honolulu Department of Public Safety Narcotics Enforcement Division.
The presentation is scheduled for Friday, May 10, 6:30—9 p.m. at the Kapa’a Middle School cafeteria. For more information, please call Laurie Planas at 821-4470, ext. 115.
