Evan Lotu went the distance for the Dodgers with five strikeouts.
Pitching for the Yankees were Kaleo Kaui, Kilika Dettloff and Aaron Villatora.
On Thursday, May 2 the Diamondbacks picked up their first win of the season, over the Astros 11-9. Pitchers for the Diamondbacks were Anthony Pignoli, Kenny Fejeder and Everett Awong. For the Astros, the pitchers were Chris Sandobal, Stephanie Kawamura and Parker Blaylock.
Decisive hits for the Diamondbacks came from Ace Viceo with two singles and Everett Awong with a double. Kenny Fejeder, Dante Bisson and Awai Dejos each contributed a single.
For the Astros, Parker Blaylock had a double, Tyler Hadley had a single and double and Chris Sandobal had two singles. Kaimana Fu also contributed a single.
On Saturday, May 4, in the first game of the day, the Mets bested the Yankees 4-2. Harry Noone pitched for the Mets with seven strikeouts.
Jacob Planas also went the distance for the Yankees with 11 strikeouts.
Hitting for the Mets were Amanda Mayer and James Noone each with two singles while Daniel Lizama and Wesley Abalos each contributed a single.
Travis Shigeta scorched a grand slam home run in the top of the third.
For the Yankees, Bryston Rapozo, Jacob Planas, Chris Ono and Micah Rapozo each kicked in a single whil Kaleo Kaui was hot with a single and a double.
In Saturday’s second game, the Astros squeaked by the Dodgers, 8-7. Parker Blaylock went five innings for the Astros with seven strikeouts.
Chris Sandobal came on in relief in the last inning with two strikeouts. CJ Maglinti went the distance for the Dodgers, striking out five. Contributing singles for the Astros were Parker Blaylock, Kaimana Fu and Devin Swanson. Stephanie Kawamura had a double and
Stevie Lutz had a triple. Hot bats for the Astros were James Hennessy with two singles and a triple and Cody House with a pair of singles and a pair of doubles.
For the Dodgers, Alan Kahaunaele had two singles while Palani Mawae, Evan Lotu and William Valente-Gonsalves each had a single.
