Eugenio Samson
Eugenio Samson of Hanama’ulu, Kaua’i, died on April 23, 2002 at his residence, at the age of 88.
Born on Sept. 2, 1913, in Ilocos Norte Philippines, he was a retired senior irrigation water supply man for Lihu’e Plantation.
He is survived by two sons: Selso (Christy) Manuel and Mateo Samson; one daughter: Pearl Samson (Raymond) Awana, 4 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren.
Friends may visit with the family at a graveside service on Friday, May 10, at Kauai Memorial Gardens at 10 a.m. Casual attire is suggested.

Hisashi Seki
Hisashi Seki of Lihue, Kauai, died April 23, 2002 at Queen’s Medical Center on Oahu, at the age of 86.
He was a former owner of the Lihue Central Service station, a member of the Lihue Hongwanji Mission, and born in Huleia, Kauai.
He is survived by his wife, Matsuyo “Merle” Seki of Lihue; brother, Henry (Harriet) Seki of Wailua, Kauai; sister: Katherine Moriguchi of Honolulu; nephews, nieces and many other relatives.
Friends may visit with the family on Monday, May 6, at the Lihue Hongwanji Mission; funeral service over the ashes will begin at 11 a.m. Casual attire is suggested and flowers omitted.
Arrangements are being handled by Moanalua Mortuary.
Stephen Orsatelli
Stephen Anthony Orsatelli, of Lawa’i, Kaua’i, died on April 26, 2002, at Kuakini Hospital on O’ahu at the age of 56.
Stephen is survived by Celeste Tabac and Ky Sanchez; granddaughter Maluhia Sanchez all of Kamuela, Hawai’i; five sisters: Virginia Spence, Yvonne Kealoha, Mary Ephan, Lois Orsatelli and Donna Miller; his companion, Violeta Gabai; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, May 4, 11 a.m., at Holy Cross Church in Kalaheo with Mass to follow at noon. Cremation burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery. Casual attire is suggested.

Raymondo Pascua
Raymondo Pascua, of Kapa’a, Kaua’i, died on April 29, 2002 at Wilcox Memorial Hospital, at the age of 70.
Born on Jan. 23, 1932, in Kealia, Kaua’i, he was a cook for the State of Hawai’i.
He is survived by his wife: Yvonne Pascua of Kapa’a; six daughters: Donna (Mansfield) Dacay of Lihu’e; Leeann (Michael) Sukehira of Wailua; Kathleen (Newell “Alani”) Woodward of Kapa’a; Suzanne (Randy) Yokoyama of Lawa’i; Stephanie (Larry) Brown of California; Michelle (John) Murphy of Massachusetts; three sons: Raymond (Raleen) Pascua of Kapa’a; Guy (Tina) Pascua of Arizona; Stephen (Val) Pascua of Wailua; three brothers: Manuel Pascua of Wailua; Edward (Joyce) Pascua of Hanama’ulu; Appy Pascua of Kapa’a; 17 grandchildren, 3 great-grandfather, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family on Thursday, May 9, 2002 at St. Catherine’s Church in Kapa’a from 9 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. where services will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Burial to follow Kaua’i Memorial Gardens. Casual attire is suggested.
