Steve Smith, a forestry consultant and Lawa’i resident, was recently elected president of the Hawai’i Forestry Industry Association. New board members include Bill Cowern of Kalaheo and the Hawaiian Mahogany Company, Inc.; Marty Fernandes, a horticulturist with Kilohana Farms in Kilauea; and former Kaua’i resident Kip Dunbar, a forest landowner on Moloka’i.
