Charity Walk Committee members got a traditional early start with an initial meeting in January. The theme for 2002 is “Remember When: a reflection of childhood memories of Hawai’i.”
The annual Charity Walk is set for Saturday, May 18 beginning at 7 a.m. At 6:30 a.m. a light breakfast, late registration, warm-up exercises and a safety briefing will be held.
The walk begins at the Kukui Grove Center Pavilion and benefits Kaua’i charities and non-profit organizations. The walk is open to residents and visitors.
The walk runs for 3.2 miles (5Ks) and features delicious food and local entertainment. The first 2,200 walkers who make a minimum pledge of $30 will receive a free T-shirt.
