Mildred Lee
Mildred Yoshiko Takahashi Lee of Kapa’a, Kaua’i, died on March 1, 2002, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital, at the age of 72.
Born in Honolulu, O’ahu, on Aug. 15, 1929, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband: Lawrence (Larry Sr.) M. Lee; one son: Lawrence “Larry” Jr. (Gail); five daughters: Sandra (Keith); Patricia (Gary); Anne (Calvin); Kiki; Diane (Calvin); 12 grandchildren; her mother, Tsuneko Takahashi; two brothers: Edward and Melvin; two sisters: Margaret and Jean.
Friends may visit with the family on Thursday, March 7, at the Kapa’a Ward II Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, from 9 a.m. Services to be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. Burial will be at Punchbowl Cemetery on Tuesday, March 12, at 11:30 a.m. Casual attire is suggested and flowers omitted.

Masao Tamashiro
Masao Tamashiro of Kapa’a, Kaua’i, died at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on Feb. 25, 2002, at the age of 72.
Born in Kapa’a, Kaua’i on Aug. 31, 1929, he was a retired Tax Accountant with the State of Hawai’i.
He is survived by his wife, Mildred; sons, Michael Tamashiro, Russell Tamashiro and Robert Tamashiro all of Kapa’a, Kaua’i; daughter, Michie Tamashiro of Kapa’a; step-sons, Timothy Rita and Roy Rita both of Kapa’a, Kaua’i; brother, Kenji Tamashiro of Pearl City, Oahu; sisters, Asako (John) Iwamoto of Hanama’ulu, Kaua’i, Yoshi (James) Yamauchi of Waipahu, Oahu; Chiyoko Yadao of Kilauea, Kaua’i and Eiko Yano of Rio Lempa, CA.,12 grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Private services were held.
Arrangements were handled by Garden Island Mortuary, Ltd.
Charlotte Travaso
Charlotte “Carlota” Travaso of Hanama’ulu, Kaua’i, died on March 2, 2002, at Queens Hospital, at the age of 85.
Born in Lihu’e, Kaua’i, on Oct. 17, 1916, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by two sons: Joseph “Puncho” (Mildred) Travaso of Kane’ohe; Donald Travaso of Hanama’ulu; one daughter: Geraldine Duarte of Hanama’ulu; one brother: Mike Santiago, 10 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews & cousins.
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, March 9, at Immaculate Conception Church from 9 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Where services will be celebrated at 11 a.m. by Father Paul. Burial to follow at Immaculate Conception Church Cemetery. Casual attire is suggested.
