The only win for Kapa’a was in the boy’s singles, which Ed Roessler battled for through three sets. Roessler topped Jordan Kukino 6-7 (5), 6-4, 6-4.
Kareen Konishi rolled to a 6-0, 6-0 win over Warrior Serina Roush in the girl’s first single match; Tiana Lum-Tucker won the second singles over Shantelle deMilli 6-3, 6-0. Raider Chris Colacino outlasted Kyle Mahoney 6-2, 6-1 in the boy’s second singles.
In first seat doubles action, Ronald Hosaka and Chad Naganuma beat Justin Nagai and Andrew Walpole 6-2, 6-2; Kia Tom and Garrett Danner fell short in a three set, second-doubles bout with Kaua’i’s Stephen McClaren and Joshua Miyamoto, 1-6, 6-2, 4-6.
For girls doubles, Rena Kido and Alex Sirosis topped Ashley Tunac and Tasha Haraguchi 6-1, 6-0 in the first seat match. Hokulani Jordan and Jennifer Kawaguchi beat Ashley Valvieja and Raysha Sadang 6-1, 6-2 in the second.
Kapa’a’s Eric Newhouse and Cory Napoleon fell to Ian White and Bryce Hosaka 6-1, 6-0 in the third seat boys doubles. Shannon Bullock and Kim Kido beat Shawna Tamayose and Jacklynn Filippe 6-3, 7-5 in the girls division.
For exhibition play, Ross Brandeburg and Michael Hiraoka topped Stephen Esaki and Tommy Yoshida 9-7. Tyler Inouye and Eric Fujikawa beat John Anderson and Corey Sokei 8-1. Tyler Carvalho and Grant Teichman topped Martin Antonio and Royce Hanada 8-1.
Christian Cook and Andrew Walpole beat James Odan and Dylan Recken 8-5. Tiana Laranio and Danielle Hill lost 1-8 to Lianne Williams and Kellie Torigoe.
Michelle Roush and Eve Lampenfeld fell 1-8 to Jaymee Wakumoto and Elise Miyamoto. Jennifer Kawaguchi and Lianne Williams beat Nicollette Cuaresma and Serina Roush 8-4.
