Nobuto Hanada of Numila, Kauai, died at Kauai Veterans Mem. Hosp. on Jan. 31, 2002, at the age of 90.
Born in ‘Ele’ele, Kaua’i on May 17, 1911, he was a retired mechanic with McBryde Sugar Co.
He is survived by wife, Kii “Ginger” Hanada of Numila; son Burt Hanada of Arizona; daughter, Helene Hanada of Los Angeles, Calif.; numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral service officiated by Rev. Kosho Itagaki will begin at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 6, at the Kauai Soto Zen Temple. The family suggests casual attire and that flowers omitted.
