Want the inside scoop? Can’t get enough of Anahola Joel’s radio persona?
Well, now you can catch him every day hosting a new KONG radio show called “Sports Talk Kaua’i,” an interactive hour-long sports show which promises to dive into the crevices of Hawaii athletics with a “front-seat” view and in-depth analysis of your favorite teams.
“We want this show to be fun for our listeners,” said Anahola Joel of Sports Talk Hawaii. “Along with providing inside information on a wide-variety of athletics in Hawaii, we encourage listeners to call-in with questions, additional input and even to debate topics on the air.”
KONG will air the first Sports Talk Hawaii show on Monday, January 4, from 6-7 p.m. It will air each day from Monday through Friday at the same evening time, except when there will be live broadcasts of sporting events in the islands (KIF basketball and KIF baseball, for instance).
The show will also conduct interviews with island coaches, broadcasters and players as well.
The radio program is currently working on getting a live interview with Hawaii Head Football Coach June Jones.
