Lourdes O. Unciano of Waimea, Kaua’i, died at Kaua’i Veterans Memorial Hospital on Jan. 16, 2002, at the age of 76.
Born in Laie, O’ahu, on Feb. 27, 1925, she was a homemaker and a singer at the former radio station KTOH in Lihu’e, Kaua’i.
Preceded in death by sons: Gerald Ancheta, Sr. and Bernaldo Ancheta, Jr. and daughter: Vanessa L. Ancheta; she is survived by her husband: Miguel S. Unciano of Waimea, Kaua’i; children: Sylvia Akana of Portland, Ore.; Cynthia (Ed) Taano of Redwood City, Calif.; Mary (Wenny) Rivera of Anahola; Frances Souza of Waipahu, O’ahu; Sandra (Dwayn) Kim of Haiku, Maui; John (Siggi) Ancheta of Cooperas Cove., Tex.; Carmella Carlson of Everett, Wash.; Patrick (Sherry Richardson) Ancheta of Makawao, Maui; Pearlie (Mark) Humberstone of Kahului, Maui; Kathy (Scott) Sorenson of Ewa, O’ahu; Brende (Kevin Holt) Ancheta of Waimea, Kaua’i; Kimberly (Frank) Powell of Sacramento, Calif.; hanai sons: Davey (Marina) Ancheta of Las Vegas, Nev.; and Brandon Ancheta-Ventura of Waimea, Kaua’i; 31 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren; sisters: Angelina (Jerry) Machado of Kekaha, Kaua’i; Barbara Carillio of Waimea Kaua’i; Rosaline (Bill) Kunipo of Sun Valley, Calif.; Leonora Patricio of Hanapepe, Kaua’i; Carol (Orlando) Abara of Omao, Kaua’i; brothers: Ernest Carillio of Pasadena, Calif.; Fernando (Florence) Carrillio of Kekaha, Kaua’i, Bernardo (Mildred) Olores of Kekaha, Kaua’i; Valeriano (Evelyn) Olores of Kekaha, Kaua’i; numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends and family may meet on Wednesday, Jan. 23, at the Lawai Seventh Day Adventist Church from 2:30 p.m.with service to start at 3:30 p.m. Scattering of ashes will be at a later date. Casual attire is suggested and that flowers be omitted.

Tyrone Guadiz
Tyrone Tiopelo Guadiz of Lihu’e, Kaua’i, died on Jan. 12, 2002 at Straub Clinic & Hospital, at the age of 57.
Born in Lihu’e, Kaua’i, on Aug. 6, 1943, he was a sales representative for Hertz Rent-A-Car.
He is survived by his wife: Dorothy Ann Guadiz of Lihu’e; step-mother: Gertrudes Soriano Guadiz of Lihu’e; Father-in-law: John Jakala of Minnesota; two brothers: Charles (Chrissy) Guadiz of Lihu’e, Robert (Linda) Guadiz of Washington; one sister: Billie Homer Guadiz of Honolulu; two brother-in-laws: John (Bunny) Jakala of Minnesota and Steve (Karen) Jakala of Minnesota. There are numerous aunties, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family on Thursday, Jan. 24, at Borthwick Kaua’i Mortuary Chapel in Koloa, from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. Visitation are again scheduled for Friday, Jan. 25, at Immaculate Conception Church in Kapaia from 10:30 a.m. where mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. by Father Paul. Casual attire is suggested.

Alice Bungcayao
Alice Asayo Bungcayao of Hanapepe, Kaua’i, died at Kaua’i Care Home on Jan. 18, 2002 at the age of 92.
Born in Wahiawa, Kaua’i on Oct. 25, 1909, she was a Housekeeper with Gay & Robinson.
She is survived by husband, Perfecto; son, Albert Morinaka of CA; daughter, Dorothy Wimberly of Vinton, Louisiana; three grandchildren; brother, Saburo Morinaka of Lihu’e, Kaua’i; numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends may visit with the family at 9 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 24, 2002 at the Hanapepe Congregational Church; service officiated by Rev. Wendy Tagima will begin at 10 a.m. with burial to follow at the Hanapepe Public Cemetery. Casual attire is suggested.
