The Kaua’i High School girls broke a 0-0 deadlock with the Kapa’a squad with less than ten minutes left to play in their contest when Jessica French scored on a follow up shot initiated by Windor Flynn to prevent a third tie for the Red Raiders.
The win gives the Red Raider JV Girls Soccer team the KIF title with a 4-0-2 standing after the 1-0 win over Kapa’a.
Kapa’a closes their regular season on Saturday, January 26 when they travel to Hanapepe Stadium to tangle with Waimea.
JV girls action is scheduled to begin no earlier than 2:30 p.m.
In the boys game, Kapa’a emerged on top of a 2-1 win over Kaua’i as Cory French kept the Red Raiders from being shut out in the final game of their season.
Waimea JV boys will enter Saturday’s contest with an undefeated record as they host Kapa’a starting at 1 p.m. at Hanapepe Stadium.
Varsity action will have the boys starting no earlier than 4:30 p.m., and the girls will kick off no earlier than 6:30 p.m. in the season finale.
