Matsu Kumabe
Matsu Eleanor Kumabe, 95 of Kaua’i, died in Honolulu, on Jan. 9, 2002.
A retires school teacher, she taught at ‘Ele’ele Elementary School for 40 years.
She is survived by her brothers, Bunki and Toshio Kumabe; sister Martha Kumabe, many nieces and nephews.
Services will be held on Sunday, Jan. 27, at 11 a.m. with visitation at 10:30 a.m. at Ordenstein’s Hawaiian Memorial Park Mortuary. Inurnment held 10 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 28, at Hawaiian Memorial Park Cemetery. Aloha attire welcome.

Tyrone Guadiz
Tyrone Tiopelo Guadiz of Lihu’e, Kaua’i, died on Jan. 12, 2002 at Straub Clinic & Hospital, at the age of 57.
Born in Lihu’e, Kaua’i, on Aug. 6, 1943, he was a sales representative for Hertz Rent-A-Car.
He is survived by his wife: Dorothy Ann Guadiz of Lihu’e; step-mother: Gertrudes Soriano Guadiz of Lihu’e; Father-in-law: John Jakala of Minnesota; two brothers: Charles (Chrissy) Guadiz of Lihu’e, Robert (Linda) Guadiz of Washington; one sister: Billie Homer Guadiz of Honolulu; two brother-in-laws: John (Bunny) Jakala of Minnesota and Steve (Karen) Jakala of Minnesota. There are numerous aunties, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family on Thursday, Jan. 24, at Borthwick Kaua’i Mortuary Chapel in Koloa, from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. Visitation are again scheduled for Friday, Jan. 25, at Immaculate Conception Church in Kapaia from 10:30 a.m. where mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. by Father Paul. Casual attire is suggested.

Norma Pescador
Norma Lorenzana Pescador of California, died on Dec. 18, 2001 at Stockton, San Joaquin, at the age of 42.
Born in the Philippines on Aug. 15, 1959, she was a clerk.
She is survived by her husband: Manolito Pescador, Sr., of Philippines; two sons: Jeffrey Pescador and Manolito Pescador, Jr. both of the Philippines; one daughter: Julie Pescador of California; one sister and three brothers of the Philippines.
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, Jan. 26, at Borthwick Kaua’i Mortuary Chapel in Koloa for a memorial service at 9 a.m. Inurnment to follow at Lihu’e Cemetery. Casual attire is suggested.

Lourdes O. Unciano
Lourdes O. Unciano of Waimea, Kaua’i, died at Kauai Veterans Memorial Hospital on Jan. 16, 2002, at the age of 76.
Born in Laie, O’ahu, on Feb. 27, 1925, she was a homemaker and a singer at the former radio station KTOH in Lihu’e, Kaua’i.
Preceded in death by sons: Gerald Ancheta, Sr. and Bernaldo Ancheta, Jr. and daughter: Vanessa L. Ancheta; she is survived by her husband: Miguel S.
