Izumo gets bowling award
GLENDALE, AZ – The Professional Bowlers Association (PBA) West Region has awarded Lihue’s Darryl Izumo the Pat Patterson Award for 2001.
Each year, the PBA recognizes one member from each region for their contribution to the regional program. The Pat Patterson Award is bestowed on those members who go above and beyond the call of duty to help the PBA Regional Program continually achieve a high level of excellence.
Izumo has hosted the PBA West Region as the proprietor of Lihue Lanes for the past two years. His innovative Sponsor Party, pro-ams and special activities for the visiting professionals has made the event one that the players look forward to attending.
As a member of the PBA, Darryl has successfully competed making the finals of a number of the PBA regional tournaments. In 1984, he won a Regional title as a non-member at Leeward Bowl in Pearl City.
