The Lihue Blue, the Westside Hornets and the Kaumakani Supersonics each pulled out victories in a series of girl’s 14-under basketball games played at the Kalaheo Neighborhood Center gym Thursday night.
Shauna Mundon scored seven to lead the Blue to a 41-11 win over the Kuhio Motors 76ers. Michelle Toy notched seven for the 76ers.
The Hornets were led by Randi Ortiz with 12 points; they topped the Anahola Sparks 33-17 in the second game of girl’s under-14 action. Theresa Taylor put up 11 for the Sparks.
And the Kaumakani Supersonics pulled ahead of the Kaua’i Fire Raiders 23-18, led by Rochelle Earvida, who scored 10 points. Rachel Taira scored six for the Fire Raiders.
