Hatsue Fujimoto of Hanapepe, Kaua’i, died at Kaua’i Care Center on Dec. 15, 2001, at the age of 96.
Born in Aiea, O’ahu, on Dec. 1, 1905, she was a housewife.
She is survived by sons, Stanley H. (Setsuko) Fujimoto of Kalaheo, Kaua’i and Kenneth H. Fujimoto of Hanapepe, Kaua’i; brother, Roy M. (Patsy) Sakai of Lihu’e, Kaua’i; sister, Masae Nishi of Waimea, Kaua’i.
Friends may visit with the family at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 22, at the Garden Island Mortuary Chapel; service officiated by Rev. Noriyaki Fujimori will begin at 11 a.m. followed by burial at Kaua’i Memorial Gardens.
Casual attire is suggested and that flowers be omitted.

David Hartman
David Ross Hartman of Koloa, Kaua’i, died Dec. 11, 2001, at his home at the age of 52.
An artist and a glass blower, he was born June 7, 1949, in California.
He is survived by his wife: Jode Hartman of Koloa; one daughter: Angela (Rich) Distefano of Sacramento; one son: Jon Kindig; one sister: Susie (Derk) Parker of Kansas; close cousin, Bob Proffitt of Nebraska, aunts and uncles.
A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 22, at the Waiohai Beach at 4 p.m. Family and friends who would like to join the family at the beach with their surf boards are asked to wear beach attire and join them in scattering his cremains.

Patricia Roldan
Patricia Roldan of Hacienda, White Cloud, California; died Dec. 2, 2001, in California at the age of 67.
A retired school teacher for 31 years, she was born on the Big Island on Aug. 23, 1934.
Predeceased by her sister, Delfine Haraguchi, she is survived by her husband, Sederio Roldan; one son, Jhonthan Roldon and her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Catbagan of Kapa’a; brothers Maurice (Diana) Catbagan, Jr., Rodolfo (Val) Catbagan, Irine (Erik) Williams, and Leilani (Darral) Cramer).

Angeline Kamakea
Angeline “Gigie” Batin Kamakea of Koloa, Kaua’i, died Monday, Dec. 10, 2001, at G.N. Wilcox Memorial Hospital at the age of 31 after a 12-year battle with Lupus (SLE), and 10-year battle with Renal (Kidney) failure.
She is survived by her husband, David Kamakea and two daughters, Danielle Kuulei Kamakea and Anela Uilani Kamakea of Koloa; mother, Cresencia Batin of Koloa; sister, Catherine (German) Curammeng of Lihu’e; brother, Ferdinand (Daisy) Batin of Salinas, Calif.; and half-brother, Angelo Batin, Jr. of Koloa. Also surviving her is her maternal grandmother, Ana T. Molina of Koloa; niece and nephews, Jasmine Pi’ilani Batin, Cavin-Marc Batin and Jayson Curammeng of Salinas, Calif.; mother and father-in-law Patricia and Philip Kamakea of Kalaheo; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Family and friends may visit on Thursday, Dec. 20, at Borthwick/Kaua’i Mortuary on Po’ipu Road in Koloa from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Visitation will continue Friday, Dec. 21, at Saint Raphael’s Catholic Church in Koloa at 8 a.m. with Mass services to be held at 10 a.m. Following Mass services, a procession will take place bringing Mrs. Kamakea to her final resting place at Kaua’i Veterans Cemetery in Hanapepe.
