Antonio Apilado, Jr., of Kilauea, Kaua’i, died at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on Oct. 29, 2001 at the age of 78.
Born in San Fernando, La Union, P.I. on Jan. 17, 1923, he was a Yard Maintenance Person with Pflueger Company.
He is survived by his wife: Loretta Apilado of Kilauea, Kaua’i; sons: Herminio (Elizabeth) Apilado of CA, and Justin Troy Apilado of Kilauea; daughter: Donna Apilado of CA; 3 grandsons, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 9, at the Garden Island Mortuary Chapel; service officiated by Father Pat Coyle will begin at 2:30 p.m. followed by internment at Kaua’i Memorial Gardens. Casual attire is suggested.

Louis Coller
Louis Richard Coller, died in Seattle, Wash., on Oct. 17, 2001, at the age of 50.
A Vietnam veteran, he was born in Honolulu on May 23, 1951, and graduated from Kapa’a High School. He was on medical retirement from the Office of Records, Madigan Hospital, in Fort Lewis, Wash.
Survived by parents, Richard and Alicia Coller, and long-time companion Fumiko Newsom, hanai daughter, Cynthia Brown, brothers James, William, Mark and Patrick (Yukimi); sisters: Margarite (Kent Kaui), Ann (Kevin Arnold), Katherine (Perry Alisna), Susan (Dennis Akutagawa), Claire, and Ruth (Mark Forbes).
Visitation is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 14, at St. Catherine’s Church, Kapa’a, followed by Mass at 9:30 a.m. Interment at St. Catherine’s Cemetery.
Arrangements are being handled by Borthwick/Kaua’i Mortuary.
Enrique Sagucio
Enrique “Ricky” Sagucio, of Hanama’ulu, Kaua’i, died at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on Oct. 30, 2001 at the age of 90.
Born in Lanao Bagui, Ilocos Norte, P.I. on Jan. 20, 1911, he was a retired Laborer. He is survived by his wife, Emilia Sagucio of Hanama’ulu, Kaua’i; sons, Emilio Sagucio of Lihue, Kaua’i, Marcelo (Serlita) Sagucio of Honolulu, O’ahu, Pedro (Maria) Sagucio of Los Angeles, Calif. and Cecilio (Cresencia) Sagucio; daughters, Ana (Benigno) Aguinaldo of the Philippines, Rosalina Sagucio of Hanama’ulu, Kaua’i and Lorenza Pasion of Las Vegas, NV; 19 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Friends may visit with the family at 9 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 9, at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Mass to begin at 10:30 a.m. followed by burial at Lihue Cemetery. Casual attire is suggested and that flowers be omitted.
