Saturday morning Kaua’i Police recaptured a man who had escaped from Kaua’i Community Correctional center nearly one month ago.
Bradley Pundyke, 40, was arrested at about 7:45 a.m. at a residence in Wailua that police had under surveillance.
Pundyke did not resist despite the fact that when he had escaped police said he was to be considered armed and dangerous.
Authorities said Pundyke was serving a one-year sentence for Family Abuse and awaiting trial on a pending felony when he walked away from a livestock detail.
Pundyke will be returned to KCCC with a new charge added to his lengthy dossier – escape.
Chief Inspector Mel Morris said KPD detectives facilitated Pundyke’s arrest.
