Odilon J. Lavoie, Jr., died at the home of his daughter in Wailua on Sept. 11, 2001, at the age of 87.
He was born in Southbridge, Mass., on June 4, 1914.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Albina (Savage)Lavoie, a daughter, Beth Fisher-Lavoie, and five grandchildren. His daughter, Natalie Lamarine, died in 1998.
A funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, Sept. 18, at St. Catherine’s Church at 6 p.m.
Stanley Taba
Stanley S. Taba of Wailua, Kaua’i, died at his residence in Wailua, on Sept. 9, 2001 at the age of 89.
Born in Hawaii on April 19, 1912, he worked for the Dept. of Agriculture.
He is survived by his one son: Stanley (Joana) Taba of Honolulu; one daughter: Vivian (Kats) Tamanaha of Honolulu; one brother: Kiyoshi Taba of Honolulu; one sister: Elaine Kutaka of Honolulu, 5 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
Friends may visit with the family on Sunday, Sept. 16, at Kapa’a United Church of Christ from 1:30 p.m. to 1:50 p.m. where services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Inurnment will be on a latter date. Casual attire is suggested.
Arrangements are being handled by Borthwick Kaua’i Mortuary.
