Michiyuki Fujimoto, of Lihu’e, Kaua’i, died at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on Aug. 11, 2001, at the age of 86.
Born in Kalaheo, Kaua’i on Aug. 26, 1914, he was retired with the State of Hawaii; and also was a veteran of the United States Army.
He is survived by: his wife: Miyoshi Fujimoto of Lihu’e, Kaua’i; five sons: Dennis (Sandie) Fujimoto of Lihu’e, Kaua’i, Stanley Fujimoto of Honolulu, O’ahu, Keith (Wanda) Fujimoto of Lihu’e, Kaua’i, Donald (Susan) Fujimoto of Lihu’e, Kaua’i, Ronald (Cheryl) Fujimoto of Lihu’e, Kaua’i; 11 grandchildren; brother: Stanley Fujimoto of Honolulu, O’ahu; four sisters: Natsuyo Yoshida of Hanapepe, Kaua’i, Fusano Yoshimasu of Honolulu, O’ahu, Yuriko (Roy) Harada of Honolulu, O’ahu, rian (Wayne) Kanekiyo of Honolulu, O’ahu; two sisters-in-law: Doris Fujimoto of Honolulu, O’ahu and Jane Fujimoto of Honolulu, O’ahu; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family at 3 p.m. on Wed. Aug. 15, at the Garden Island Mortuary Chapel; service officiated by Rev. Yukiko Motoyoshi will begin at 4 p.m. Casual attire is suggested and flowers omitted.
Arrangements are being handled by Garden Island Mortuary, Ltd.
