Toribia Agrade of Kekaha, Hawai’i, died at Waimea Care Center on June 22, 2001, at the age of 100.
Born in the Philippines, on April 17, 1901, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her four daughters: Juanita (Gil) Renti Cruz; Celedonia (Mariano) Aguedan; Veronica (Bernaldo, Sr.) Ulanday; Esther (Bernaldo, Sr.) Agor and Caregiver Perlita (Gerardo) Mararagan, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday, June 26, at St. Theresa’s Church in Kekaha from 9 a.m. – 9:45 a.m. where services will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial to follow at Kekaha Public Cemetery.
Casual attire is suggested. Arrangements are being handled by Borthwick Kaua’i Mortuary.
Mitsuyo Furushima
Mitsuyo Furushima of Honolulu, formerly of Kaua’i passed away at St. Francis Medical Center-West on June 8, 2001, at the age of 87.
She was born in Hanapepe, Kaua’i on April 17, 1914.
She is survived by her son; Clyde Furushima of Honolulu; daughter Kay Tokuda of Bellevue, Washington; brother: Yuso Ishida of Hanapepe, Hatsumi Okamoto of Kekaha, and 4 grand children.

Dixie Kopps
Dixie Laurel Kopps of Kapa’a, Kaua’i, died at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on June 24, 2001 at the age of 78.
She was born in Pasadena, California on March 24, 1923.
She is survived by husband Richard Kopps of Kapa’a; son Richard of Garden Grove, California; son Jason of Palos Verdes Estates, California; daughter Signe and son Bradford of Portland, Oregon; two brothers; five grandchildren and one great grandchild.
