Verna Maheha Duvauchelle, of Koloa, Kaua’i died at her residence on April 12, 2001 at the age of 66. Born in Eleele, Kaua’i on July 16, 1934 she was a Teachers Assistant at a Church.
She is survived by her brother: Raymond (Josephine) Duvauchelle of Koloa; two sisters Winona (Ron) Barringer of Oahu; Gloria (Herbert) Barringer-Ishibashi of Hilo; numerous aunties, uncles, nieces and nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family on Friday, April 27 at Borthwick Kaua’i Mortuary Chapel in Koloa, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Graveside services on Saturday, April 28, at the Koloa Public Cemetery at 9:30 a.m.
Casual attire is suggested. Arrangements are being handled by Borthwick Kaua’i Mortuary.
Donald Andrus
Donald “Don” Andrus, of Kapa’a, Kaua’i, died at Hale Omao on April 15, 2001, at the age of 65. Born in Seattle, Washington on Sept. 13, 1935, he was a retired College Professor of Electronic Music at Cal. State University, Long Beach;.
He is survived by: his wife: “G.G” Shanley Andrus of Wailua; son: Carlin S. Andrus of Los Angeles, Calif.; brother: Rodney Andrus of Coeur DAlene, Idaho; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Service were private. Arrangements were handled by Garden Island Mortuary, Ltd.0
Antone Silva
Antone “Tony” Silva, of Wailua Homesteads, Kauai, died at home on April 23, 2001, at the age of 80. Born in Koloa, Kauai on April 19, 1921, he was a retired Truck Driver with Grove Farm Co.
He is survived by: three sons: Anthony (Joyce) Silva of Lawai, Kauai, Joseph Silva of New York, and John (Diana) Silva of Lawai, Kauai; two daughters: Aileen (Francis) Brun of Lawai, Kauai and Marie (Leonard) Manguchei of Wailua, Kauai; 14 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren; two sisters: Theresa Olson of Texas and Helen (Frederick) Bukoski of Lawai, Kauai; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family at 3 p.m.on Thursday, April 26, at the Holy Cross Catholic Church; Mass officiated by Father Keahi will begin at 4 p.m. followed by burial at the Holy Cross Catholic church cemetery. Casual attire is suggested.
