WAIMEA — The Waimea Menehunes battled to the end, but fell 35-30 in a double overtime game against Molokai Thursday night.
Also Thursday, Kona defeated Maui 65-42 at Waimea High School.
High scorers for the Menehunes were Melody Manuel with eight, Taryn Dizon with seven, Robyn Manuel with six and Ashley Hori with four.
Mahea Rawlins scored 14 for Molokai. Melani Rawlins scored eight.
For Kona, Nancy Hoist and Tiana Martines-Alcain scored 12 each.
Kanani Ventura led Maui with 15 points.
