From TGI Reports – Koloa Pitch T-Ball
Here are the results from the final week of competition in the Koloa Pitch T-Ball league. The Hurricanes dominated through the end, winning both of their final-week contests. The Cobras also got two wins, though they also dropped a game.
Hurricanes 19, Cobras 4
Joey Colmenero shined brightly with a 4-for-4 performance that included two home runs. Kaulana Waalani-Arroyo also was 4-for-4 as the ‘Canes cruised over the Cobras.
Three hits for the Hurricanes were turned in by Joshua Waalani-Masusaka, Carly Matsumoto, Tanner Rivera and Kainoa French. Two hits were registered by Aston Carbonel, Sara Phillips and Ashleigh Carbonel.
The Cobras got two hits from Kevin Melchor, Chysen Nagao and Cy Morishige. The got one hit from Taylor Pagador, Tisha Ruiz, Tiorie Daligcon-Pomaikai, Pono Bukaski, Gavin Sagucio and Kaitlin Santos.
Braves 17, Indians 8
Four Braves were able to come away with perfect performances at the plate as the Braves cruised. The 3-for-3 batters were Shawn Mercado, Trent Allianic (home run), Branden Yamamoto and Tailee Brun. The Braves got two hits from Dayne Murata, Kimi Masumura and Dustin Prem.
Joey Brun did his part to lead the Indians. He was 3-for-3 with two dingers. The Indians also got three hits from Shaylece Masuda. They got two hits from Jace Ruiz, Garret Gushiken and Alayna Negrillo.
Yankees 21, Indians 11
Shana Tafiti continued to unveil the big bat as the Yankees smashed 30 hits in victory. Two of Tafiti’s three hits were homers. The Yankees got 4-for-4 performances from Chancen Bateman and Makoa Carreira. They got three hits from Christian Largo, Kaioli Brun, Keola Carreira and Brayden Hiraoka. Two hit were turned in by Chyson Goias, Davelyn Tafiti and Jordan Jim.
Hanging on to the hot bat he’d displayed against the Braves, Joey Brun pounded out three more home runs and a double to lead the Indians. Jace Ruiz also was 4-for-4.
The Indians got three hits from Kienan Allianic-Rapozo, Shaylece Masuda, Travis Rayno, Dyson Kepano and Alayna Negrillo. They got two hits from Chad Okino.
Cobras 20, Yankees 9
In a bit of an upset, the Cobras pounded the Yankees. The Cobras got four hits from Taylor Pagador, Chandon Pajardo-Sarmiento and Tiorie Daligcon-Pomaikai. They got three hits from Kevin Melchor, Jordan Garcia, Kaimana Lutey, Chysen Nagao and Kaitlin Santos.
The Yankees got another solid performance from Shana Tafiti. She was 3-for-3 with a home run. Christian Largo was 2-for-4 with a home run.
The Yankees got three hits from Kaioli Brun, Brayden Hiraoka and Davelyn Tafiti. They got two hits from Chancen Bateman and Jordan Jim.
Hurricanes 17, Braves 5
Joey Colmenero again was strong for the Hurricanes. He hit 3-for-3, including two homers. The ‘Canes also got a home run from Kaulana Waalani-Arroyo. They got three hits from Kainoa French and two hits from Aston Carbonel, Joshua Waalani-Matsusaka, Tanner Rivera, Ashleigh Carbonel and Kainoa Matsumoto.
It was an off day for the Braves. They got 3-for-3 performances from Dayne Murata and Branden Yamamoto, but that was about it for stand-out displays. Keanu Harris was 2-for-2. The Braves got one hit from Shawn Mercado, Trent Allianic, Dustin Prem, Kimi Masumura, Tailee Brun, Tavin Brun, Joshua Ludington, Kawai Klattenhoff and Makana Miranda.
Cobras 14, Indians 7
The Cobras got three hits from Kevin Melchor, Jordan Garcia, Braden Caires, Chysen Nagao and Tiorie Daligcon-Pomaikai. They got two hits from Chandon Pajardo-Sarmiento, Kaimana Lutey and Gavin Sagncio.
Joey Brun stayed hot for the Indians, going 3-for-3 with a home run. The Indians got three hits from Anthony Gammerino and Garret Gushiken.
They got two hits from Travis Rayno, Chaysen Medina and Katie Ceria-Johnson.
